Middleton Motorcycle Accident: A 47-year-old man from Middleton has died following a fatal motorcycle collision on School Street, as Annapolis District RCMP continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Emergency crews, including RCMP officers, fire services, and Emergency Health Services (EHS), responded to the collision at approximately 3:20 p.m. on Saturday, July 4. According to investigators, the crash involved a motorcycle and a Hyundai Sonata on School Street in Middleton, Nova Scotia.

Police confirmed that the motorcyclist, who was the sole occupant of the bike, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Hyundai, both residents of Middleton, were not physically injured.

School Street remained closed for several hours while an RCMP collision reconstructionist examined the scene and gathered evidence. The investigation is ongoing with assistance from the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service as authorities work to determine the factors that led to the fatal crash.

RCMP are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to contact Annapolis District RCMP at 902-825-2000.

The tragic crash has saddened the Middleton community, and police have extended their condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased. Further information, including the victim’s identity, has not yet been released as the investigation continues.
